Time for Sunday Stamps.
This week's theme is: old or vintage stamps from your own country.
I received the group below recently on a Postcrossing postcard from the USA.
The 4 cent stamp I would say is from the early 60's given the date on it. The other two stamps are from the 1970's. US postage stamps have never been devalued. You can use old stamps, back to 1865, for current postage, according to Wikianswers. [This is NOT the case for all countries.] Of course, you will need several stamps to equal the postage due today. And check the value of some of those old ones! They may be worth more unused.
What vintage stamps can you share this week?
I have a page on Facebook: keep up with my infrequent stamp, postcard, and quilt posts at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Viridian61/347674418583948?ref=hl
Theme next week: Zodiacal and zodiac signs stamps.
Theme two weeks from now: of children and for children.
